XBBO pinout

#1537 11 months, 1 week ago
Hi there,

Please can someone describe the pinout on the XBBO boards? I'm interested in the pins down the sides, rather than the five pin header that connects to the Xino.

I've seen the XRF pinout here:

www.ciseco.co.uk/downloads/documents/datasheet%20-%20XRF%20v1-6.pdf

I can see some pins on the XBBO marked 3V3, Tx, Rx, Reset, Heartbeat, Sleep and Ground, so can I use these pins directly from my micro (running at 3v3), or is there some additional complexity?

I ask as I'd like to mount the XBBO on stripboard, and it would be more convenient (physically) to use the pins down the sides rather than the five pin header.

Thanks!

Mark

The pin holes down either side of the XBBO are linked directly back to the XRF socket and are intended for use with breadboard.

Another quickie: On a breadboard, should the sleep pin be low or high for normal usage? Ditto with the reset - should I just leave ut pulled high?

Thanking you...

Just leave them unconnected - you only need to connect V+,GND,Tx and Rx for normal operation.
