#1693 10 months, 1 week ago
So, I have not working URF (post before) and I would like to reprogram it trough FTDI interface. I baught one from Ciseco store and connected URF FTDI pins to FTDI interface pins one by one - swapped only TX and RX:

But I can't get any response from it in XCM. What I'm doing wrong?

With just the bootloader on there XCM will not recive any response to a downloaded config.

You need to uploaded the usbdongle firmware.

On the upload tab in XCM:-
the usbdongle file
Click advance
Select XRF in bootloader mode
You should now be able to program, verify, commit as normal

I'm not 100% sure but the URF may require 5v supply.

Try sticking it in a USB socket for power, disconnect the pwr pin on the FTDI
keeping just the RX,TX,gnd lines connected.

Please do not forget to press the Advanced button on the XCM upload firmware tab and select "XRF in bootloader mode" before attempting the update.
Also ensure that the Rx and Tx are crossed - i.e. FTDI Rx to URF Tx, FTDI Tx to URF Rx. Connect ground to ground and plug the URF into a USB port for power.
All signals are 3v3.
