- I have concentrated acid for blood
I remember reading something about a PoE feature for the Open Kontrol Gateway, but can't find the thread
Is the Open Kontrol with a Wiznet Ethernet module PoE ready?
As I wanted to avoid using a separate power supply and hoped to have the Open Kontrol Gateway fully powered by PoE.
Thanks,

The current wiznet and ENC modules are defiantly not POE
I guess it may be possible in the near future to do a POE ENC based module, as just need to add a few extra components if i recall correctly.

When we do our own 5200 POE might sneak it's way in, it would have on the ENC but for 2 things
It's damned expensive to do "properly", SMPS to 52v or something in IEEE specs
We couldn't get hold of magjacks under £6 that supported it, add the two and an £8 kit just became £30 kit
......always wondered why the official ethernet shield with POE was so expensive, now know why.
Look to shop and find passsive POE cable, will suit most peoples needs and are nice and cheap option.
